Meet your Pet Sitter
Lauren Sage, a Michigan native, grew up in a family passionate about dog shows and has been caring for animals her entire life. She spent years raising and showing champion Italian Greyhounds and rabbits, managed a show cattery, as well as working as a groomer and dog show vendor.
After a successful 30-year career in sales, Lauren followed her true passion and founded While You’re Away Pet Sitting in 2006. A year later, she established the Asheville Area Professional Pet Sitters Association to help connect and support fellow pet care professionals.
